I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois where I received an M. Arch degree. Previously, I attended Ball State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture there. In school I focused heavily on parametric modeling as a tool to inform more complex designs and have been interested in new ways of improving the human experience through this architecture. In addition, I see this design complexity as a strategy to acknowledge our shared responsibility toward creating more sustainable spaces. I enjoy a challenge and I enjoy rationalizing complexity into pure architectural expressions responsive to many contextual and experiential factors simultaneously.
My interests and hobbies expand to the physical world, as well. I enjoy crafting, creating, and fabricating using various digital means. My homebuilt 3D printer is usually always running and I am constantly searching for new things to learn about digital fabrication techniques and methods. There's something special about being able to bridge the gap between design and construction and become a part of the entire process by which something becomes real.
