I am writing to express my interest in a Junior Architect position. I have a
Post-Professional Graduate Degree in Architecture from Columbia University, an
NAAB-accredited Masters Degree in Architecture from Chongqing University, and a
Bachelor’s Degree in English literature and art from Sichan International Studies
University.
Having studied and worked in six cities (Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Tangshan,
Japan, New York), urban architecture and its situation in the local and the global
public realm has motivated my studies. I started my professional practice in 2009 and
have participated in multiple disciplines including architecture, historical preservation,
landscape design, and technology development. From 2011-2013 I worked as an
Intern Designer and Training Assistant at PRP Architects , an interdisciplinary British
design firm, where I was exposed to a large variety of creative minds from all over the
globe. Throughout the two and half years experience, I was involved in and conversant
with every professional aspect of the work. While there I lead the pre-design
research, schematic design to project presentation, and press conference translation
for an industry development forum to establish an exchange between the firm and the
Chongqing Jinyang Real Estate Development Company.
I am seeking to join your firm because I believe that my energy and ideas will let me
contribute to the group, become an integral part of the team, and extend my knowledge
