I DESIGN TO EMPOWER.
Empowering design is as big as structure and as small as the details in furniture. I use both 3D techniques and 2D graphics to create holistic, functioning spaces. I once was able to design a space that focused on the theory that form creates a dynamic and successful place for children to practice therapy for certain mental disorders. Through the process I learned the fundamentals for incorporating neuroscience into architecture. That experience left me hungry to scientifically prove that architecture directly effects the brain. I have a huge passion for sustainable design and through landscaping, I have been able to cut ties with specifying anything that may end up leeching, off-gassing, and things that do not decompose. Throughout my design career, I have been thoroughly disappointed with the lack of responsibility upheld by the majority of the design community. I have been searching for the most productive niche. I have found direction within the WELL Building Standard. I appreciate the WELL Building Standard because it picks up where common healthcare and the government left off. It takes the main issues of the built environment by the horns and addresses the items that others have given up on. I won't ever give up.
