About

As an interior design major, I experience the built environment differently.  I see how much its design affects how you react to and interact with your surroundings.  Interiors are meant to be experienced as a working piece of art and I am confident in my skills to bring this to the forefront of my designs.  To me, creativity and design is never finished and must be continually improved and developed.  There is no finish line in design.

Through my summer internship at Binghamton University I was crucial to the development of a renovation project as a result of my skills in Revit.  My working knowledge of current design trends and programs makes me a valuable asset to any design team.

As an avid traveler, I love adventure and constantly seek out new and interesting opportunities.  Having such an international perspective allows me to integrate cultural elements from around the world into my designs and realize that each and every person’s thoughts are valuable.  As a skilled active listener, I have a unique talent to pick up on a client’s vision, and the ability to execute it effectively with their needs in mind.  Understanding of each specific client’s views allows me to develop and build strong relationships quickly.

While a student at High Point University, I have received the honor of a Student Rising Star for the Carolinas chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association.  This commendation has given me the confidence to make creative choices and become a leader.  Academically, I received the honor of junior marshal as one of the top 39 students of my class.

I am skilled at encouraging an energetic environment with my positive outlook, keeping the most frazzled clients calm no matter the situation.  I love working in group settings, as the piggy-backing of ideas never ceases to amaze me.   I gravitate towards challenges and creative environments, working tirelessly until I solve the problem.
