Adriana Carias is a landscape architecture graduate, with interest on landscape conservation and the social impacts on communities.
Adriana had the experience to understand cultural landscapes outside the United States, as in her final year of the MLA program she worked on a master plan for the Eminonu Waterfront in Istanbul, reimaging the public infrastructure at the water’s edge of one of the city’s busiest and most significant places for residents and tourists alike.
For her final Direct Design Research project, she addressed contemporary challenges in the San Joaquin Valley that had as focus food availability an issue of social justice through studies of the global existence of food deserts, lack of access to nutritious food and appropriate use of resources.
