About

I am a junior architect in training looking to become licensed in the near future. I have filed IDP hours with NCARB, currently working in a firm with 2+ years of experience. I have done project managing for small jobs and handled copious amounts of construction documents. I received my masters degree at 23 years old with a focus in Educational facilities. I have also worked personally with graphic designers, in graphic design, and additionally with sales and interpersonal communications. I am fluent in German, excel in numerous programs, and have won awards for art and design. Outside of architecture I draw using pencil, micron pens, and copic markers, sew costumes for myself and others, flyer design, model and furniture building, paint using primarily oil and acrylic, teach drawing lessons, play drums, and dance, jazz, ballet, and tap.

Education

University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV, US, MArch, Architecture

Studied integrated building systems and classroom lighting as well as working in multicultural educational courses from 2013-2014. From 2014-2015 I worked on my thesis focusing on the 21st century classroom and classroom designs. This consisted of compiling a graphic design book to be used by future educators, facilities managers, and other architects. The book consisted of 21st education methods as STEM, PBL, Game-Based learning, Gamification, Blended learning, Studio-Based, Design-Based, Flipped classrooms, and a plethora of other 21st century teaching methods. The book focused on the the classrooms as it pertained to schools of 21st century students and teachers that utilized what we considered to be 21st century skills and their consideration towards design. The final additional facet of my thesis focused on ESL students and how their classroom works in conjunction with the initial research of 21st century classrooms.

University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV, US, BArch, Architecture

Primary architectural skills in design were taught through the four years of my Bachelors degree. Such classes included Structures, Studio, Sustainable design - Environmental Control Systems, Research, Interpersonal communications, Professional Practice, Hand drawing and Sketching, Revit, 3Ds Max, Rendering, and additional non-architectural based classes. Design projects were also completed in other areas outside of the Las Vegas area in places such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, and parts of Arizona. My senior year I focused on hospitality design as hospitals, casinos, and memorials working locally on older facets of the greater Las Vegas region out to Bolder City. Urban design was also incorporated by analyzing integrated office buildings in urban downtown regions.
