Ivy Stone Design Competition, 1st Place

On Ivy Day, celebrated a few days before Commencement, members of the senior class place a marble slab, adorned with a symbolic image (usually of ivy) and the class’ graduation year, someplace on campus. Ethan Skaggs's design was selected to represent the Class of 2015 and is located at 36th and Locust Streets on Penn's Campus in Philadelphia.

Microbiology Research, Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, Other

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), a program of Society for Science & the Public (SSP), is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. Ethan Skaggs was awarded Fourth Place in the Microbiology Category at the 2011 Intel ISEF in Los Angeles, California, for his project "Epstein-Barr Virus-Induced Alterations to Cellular Chromatin: A Potential Mechanism for Hit and Run Oncogenesis."
