My education in the field of architecture and engineering (City Planning) equipped me good understanding of logics and aesthetic design, together with a mastery of multiple designing / analyzing tools. 3+ years of architectural practice challenges myself to be an efficient visual communicator through large print drawings and even digital productions, meanwhile projects within teams to be a good team player and good planner. Furthermore, the breadth of my participation in technological / user behavior related projects an enlightened me into user-oriented design methodology. Likewise my engineering side presented me as a problem-solver and information processor.
I didn’t take a predictable route after my graduation from architecture school, instead I took the skills I learned in University of Michigan into the world of marketing and experiential events, to get a better understanding of how design be delivered based on real market analysis and demands. During the past year, I participated in multiple projects in various phases, ranging from trade show activations in Hilton’s Global Owner Conference, activation installation (satisfied on Google side and planning on more fabrication) and portable traveling booth for Google (in fabrication process), all-phases leading designer for CES North America Manager Conference, and RFP for Sumsang 5000+ attendees global experiential event, etc. Cross-departmental working experience get me great amount of opportunities working with production team doing website analysis and web design strategies to better deliver our clients idea with efficient approaches to their target audiences. Not just being a designer making mock up models, I provide visual solutions and build up instructive guidelines for further production and graphic opportunities.
I am nimble to digital design and critical thinking, and my strong design background will become a good visual contributor to the team using 2D 3D motion or audio / video design. My Urban planning background and commercial strategy experience qualify me in optimizing strategies to reach clients’ short term/ long term or periodical business goals. My forte is to create real life or visualized renderings and infographics to deliver proposals. Also, my previous Student Union managing position and wide range of competition experience will propel me a good fit in highly competitive and fast paced working environment.
