I graduated from The George Washington University with a B.F.A., cum laude, in Interior Architecture and Design and my experience includes internships at Lehman Smith McLeish (LSM) in Washington, DC and Bella Mancini Design (BMD) in New York, NY.
LSM is a design strategy firm known for its work on various architectural, interior design, and strategic planning projects. At LSM my responsibilities included work on all aspects of design with a focus on top-tier international law firms, including preparing project books, designing and developing client presentations, and collaborating with vendors.
BMD is a design firm known for designing and decorating upscale homes. At BMD my responsibilities included meeting with clients; helping to develop design plans, recommending materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture options; completing purchase orders, ordering, preparing delivery schedules, and assisting with overall project management.
The IAD program at GW pushes the boundaries of creative design with an emphasis on conceptual thinking and the design process. The program involves a studio-based curriculum where I designed three-dimensional space through the use of dynamic concepts, cutting edge materials, and innovative techniques. My course work included Studios 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Interior Materials, Sketching Architecture and Interiors, Graphic Communications, Digital Drafting and Modeling, Sustainability/LEED, Lighting and Acoustics, Building Structures, Drawing, Sculpture, Modern Architecture and Design, and multiple individual and team projects. My strengths are creative imagination and effective implementation for each project that I am involved with.
