My name is Maria Mercurio and I’m a young architect graduated from Politecnico di Milano in July 2014. 

I’m currently living in Rome and in my last collaboration I worked in a contracting company based both in Italy and in Qatar that deals with bespoke furniture for prestigious clients, in a project of residential architecture at The Pearl-Doha, and in general in the Middle East area. I worked in the design team from the preliminary design to the executive and detail stages. I have also been involved in the selection of FF&E and OS&E, dealing with commercial contacts with main furniture brands, and solving technical issues about design and fit out, architecture details and shop drawings.

I have been working with several design and architecture firms since 2011, working on different scales and following all the phases of projects, from concept to construction stage. 

After graduation I started to work as a freelance by participating in competitions for young designers. 
I have AutoCAD certificate and I’m very proficient in Rhino, ArchiCAD, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Office and iWork, and Adobe CC suite. Both in Mac and PC platforms.
My level of English is C1 in the Common European Framework. I passed the exam to practice the profession of architect in June 2015 and I’m in the register from October 2015.
I consider myself a self-confident person and I don’t miss the curiosity that can be directed to architecture, to graphics or to a new project in general. 
I like to travel and I do it very often for pleasure as well as for business and for this reason I'm very dynamic and I accept willingly new challenges.
