I am Ma Xiaoli, from China, and at present employed by Shanghai Construction Design (SCDRI), where I have been working as an urban designer for 20 months. Before that, I got the Master of Urban Design degree in the University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor of Architecture in Beijing Jiaotong University.
In school time, I had an experience of changing program to Spain for half a year, got several awards in national and international competitions, and also, published an academic book and an academic paper after doing some research.
In the course of my work, I have participated in several projects, and been responsible for urban design work, communicating with clients and animation, cooperating with other departments or companies. Based on my efforts, I could lead a small design group gradually.
In my mind, urban design dedicates collaboration, profession and inspiration. I wish to deliver a better world during cooperation and synergistic urban design work.

During my study in HKU, I enrolled in courses including Urban Design Studio, Urban Design Principles, Site Planning, Computer in Urban Design, and Globalization and Urban regional Development in China. During the year in Hong Kong, I have participated in the Kai Tak Fantasy International Ideas Competition, and got the show list award. In the last semester, I did a thesis named "Impact and Possibilities of Outdoor Advertising in commercial districts of Hong Kong".

In BJTU, besides the courses taught in School, I have participated in several project and got several awards in competitions, like Protection and planning for the village Lijiashan, Measurement and Drawing of Ancient Buildings, excellence award in National Green Buildings Design Competition, etc..Moreover, I have published an academic book and an academic paper on ancient village in China. In addition, I have attended in an exchange program to the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain in the fourth year of undergraduate education.
