Victor Salinas Furio is an entry level professional with over 2 years of experience both in United States and Spain. Victor started his education in Architecture in Spain, at the University Polytechnic of Valencia. After completing the first four years of the program, he transferred to the United States, where he ended up gaining his Bachelor and Master degree in Architecture at the University of the District of Columbia. Having both educational and professional experience in two different countries gives Victor a wider understanding of the field. In addition to this, Victor has been a student athlete during his entire education; not only being recognized with different awards, but also learning values such as commitment, team ethics, and team leadership.

All American First Team, 1st Place
Senior Victor Salinas Furio has earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) First Team Academic All-American honors, and sophomore Gabriel Torres has earned Second Team Academic All-American honors for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Salinas Furio and Torres are now the first ever Men's Soccer CoSIDA Academic All-Americans at UDC, and the fifth and sixth all-time across all sports. Salinas Furio is just the second Firebird ever to earn First Team Academic All-American, and he is the first since Women's Basketball's Alice Butler in 1981.
An Architecture major from Valencia, Spain, Salinas Furio finished his undergraduate degree with a 3.96 GPA and currently has a 4.0 GPA in his graduate work at UDC. He is a two-year member of the UDC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and he is a work-study employee for the UDC College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES). Also, the East Coast Conference honored Salinas Furio with the Men's Soccer Elite 18 award, given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing in each of the ECC's 18 championship competitions.
Athletically, the standout defenseman is a two-time Third Team All-ECC honoree, and he has anchored a defensive unit with 11 shutout victories over the last three years, including six this season. Salinas Furio and the Firebirds back line held opponents to one goal or less in 13 of 22 games this season.
Elite 18, 1st Place
The East Coast Conference announced the creation of the Elite 18 award, which will will be presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 18 championships.
The Elite 18 Award is modeled off of the NCAA's Elite 90 Award. The NCAA describes the award, which is awarded to a student-athlete at each of its 90 National Championship tournaments, as recognizing the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
Winners of the Elite 18 Award will also have to meet the same minimum criteria as the Elite 90 Award. To win the award, student-athletes must meet the following criteria.
1. Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and in at least his or her second year (in any sport) at his or her current institution.
2. Student-athlete is an active member of the roster and eligible for the championship.
3. Credits completed shall only consist of those credits accumulated at the current institution and shall not include transfer or AP credits.
4. Only undergraduate GPA is applicable. If the student-athlete has graduated and is in graduate school, he or she is still eligible for the award but consideration will be based strictly on an undergraduate GPA. Graduate students must be in good academic standing with the university.
5. Each student-athlete is only eligible to win the award once per academic year, even if he or she participates in more than one sport
