I am a Project Architect with ten years of experience in building design and construction in New York City, including experience with small high-end rehabilitation, adaptive reuse projects and new mid-size multifamily developments. As Senior Project Architect of ABS Architects, I have been deeply involved in all aspect of project design and construction, from schematic conception to field supervision and construction administration. In this role, I have also gained considerable insight into the complexity of building in New York City. I am fully familiar with zoning requirements and the NYC building code, and I am well experienced in successfully working with consultants and clients to get projects completed and approved to set budgets and deadlines.
As an industrial and product designer, I ran my own company, OB-GESTO Design, completing a wide range of design built projects, including work for private clients, corporations, retailers and museums. Through this experience I became skilled in full detail development and acquired a broad knowledge of material capacities.

Developed the project from original schematic proposal to construction approved DOB set. Responsible for schematic design, design development, consultant coordination, specification development and final construction documents.
Fox Leggett, NY. New Residential Construction. 50 units, 60,200 SF. Completed 2010. LEED Platinum. Winner of the New York City Housing Cornerstone Program RFP in 2006.
Responsible for the design and coordination of all phases of the project, from schematic design to the development of construction documents, DOB set and city approvals. Project manager during a successful 18 months construction completion including weekly site visits and coordinated construction administration, shop drawing revisions and consultant coordination during construction.
Greenpoint Hospital, NY. New Construction / Rehabilitation. 201 units, 214,800 SF.
Winner of the New York City HPD RFP in 2005.
Supervised and directed junior staff during the design development and presentation of the proposal for a new construction of housing and the reuse of existing hospital facilities for a senior care center.
Pascal Courts, NY. High-end Residential Rehabilitation of Town Houses. 15,000 SF.
Responsible for the evaluation of existing building conditions and the development of scope of work, schematic design, construction documents, custom details and finishes. Oversaw construction administration and project management until completion of the cluster.

Gut-rehabilitation of six city commissioned existing prewar buildings. In charge of initial building evaluations for residential upgrade and rehabilitation, new schematic design, consultant coordination, and final construction set approval and deeply involved with construction administration.
