About

Architecture is the perfect marriage of Art and Technology.

Hi, My name is Ivan Silva, I am a Bachelors in Architecture graduate of New York Institute of Technology. As an Architect-in-training, I am currently taking the Architecture Registration Exams to obtain my architectural license and have the greatest aspirations to help out my community and leave an ever lasting mark on the world through beauty and heart.

I have been working in design firms and a construction firm for several years in Long Island and NYC. While working in Long Island and NYC, I have had the opportunity to design; draft, coordinate, manage homes and schools, understand the zoning, technical aspects, and relationship between architecture and construction. I believe it is very important to understand the drawings and see them come to fruition. Aside from working in conjunction with clients, I have provided physical and 3-D models, image renderings and animations. Furthermore, I have developed strong communication skills through interacting with contractors, clients, project officers, subcontractors, engineers, laborers, and architects. I believe you should have as much respect for the person laying the brick to the person overseeing the job.

I am well versed in AutoCAD with experience in digital rendering programs such as Revit, 3d Max and sketch up along with Photoshop.

Specialties: PC and Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Publisher, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, 3d Studio Max, V-ray, Sketch-Up, fluent in oral and written Spanish and English, ability to work individually and as a part of a team, a passion for Architecture, sustainable design and public transportation, wide ranging and focused knowledge of construction detailing, from practical, professional and academic experience.
