“Architecture, of all the arts, is the one which acts the most slowly, but the most surely, on the
soul” ~Ernest Dimnet
Perhaps not always recognized, but the beauty of what is contained is enhanced by the
intentional design of the container itself. I graduated in May from the University of Michigan
with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and I am ready to use my degree to better my
surrounding communities, nationally or internationally. I believe a career should be about
learning what you enjoy and finding a way to excel at it.
I am interested in this field because I believe that architecture is more than just a structure
that serves any number of monotonous purposes. The passion of designing a building that will
influence those who enter it because of the experience they have while inside is what architecture
is about. Architecture is my passion and to gain real life experience outside of the classroom is
something I consider to be very important. My education has given me the ability to perform
and teach drafting, 2D and 3D AutoCAD as well as use other programs such as Rhino,
VectorWorks, Illustrator, and InDesign. I am efficient, work great in team environments, and
insist on a high quality product. I believe a career should be about learning what you enjoy and
finding a way to excel at it. While my work experience in this field is limited I have been a
dedicated employee and have provided value to each position I have held and look forward to
any and all new challenges.
