I recently graduated a Master of Science, Architecture and Urban Design, from Pratt Institute where I extended my technical and design skills. I received my Bachelor of Architecture (Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University (Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel) in 2011. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked as an Architect and Project Manager in Uri Cohen Architects office as well as in David Nofar Architect & Urban Planning office, where I applied my skills in a range of projects, from big public sector work such as schools and urban planning to private and commercial construction.
As a practicing Architect and Project Manager, I was able to distinguish myself as a skilled and motivated employee. In particular I sought to engage in projects that focused on a high level of design as well as sustainable and efficient construction. I worked through the ranks to roles of project leader in two of the firms I worked in. These positions included, on top of the design tasks, management of all operational aspects, including coordination with consultants, client presentations, and pushing projects through their various stages, from review and permitting by local municipalities to construction administration.
I have a keen interest in the connection between Architecture, Design, Urban Design and Planning - how macro and micro design influences communities, individuals, the environment and vice versa. I am an extremely focused and motivated individual committed to pursuing a career practicing architecture. My primary areas of interest are research-based design, integrated project delivery and sustainability. I believe in interdisciplinary work and strive to shape myself as a well-rounded designer capable of working collaboratively with other professions.
