Assistant Director.  Became the Division’s Assistant Director in 2014 after rejoining Port Everglades as a Senior Project Manager / Architect responsible for vertical construction projects.  Manage Division’s operations and a staff of 10.  Renovated Cruise Passenger Terminals 2, 4, 19, 21 & 26, two separate construction projects totaling $95 million. Worked with cruise lines, CBP, consultants, permitting agencies and construction contractor to meet delivery dates.

Project Manager, Senior Associate.  Project Manager / Architect of Record for the Port Everglades Terminal 18 Phase II expansion. Fast-track project completed on time for the arrival of Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas.  An $87 million project, terminal was renovated, with new gangways, GTA, site and roadway improvements manage a 6,000 passenger cruise vessel and 12,000 pieces of luggage. Project Manager for the General Architectural Services contract to provide Port Everglades with A&E services for a 5 year period started in 2006.  Other projects include the  Port of Charleston Terminal Revisions and the Union Pier Terminal Master Plan. Port of St. Petersburg, Russia port master plan and construction of Phase I, Port of Kahului, Maui, Hawaii preparation of design concepts.  Port of Los Angeles outer harbor design concepts.

2002 to 2006, Project Manager IV responsible for the Port Security Enhancements project, consisting of the implementation of the Port Security plan, a $45 million project; the first project delivered by C M @ Risk method at Port Everglades.  Coordinated the requirements of the Law Enforcement community, Port’s Administration, County requirements, Port’s business communities and the 3 local municipalities responsible for permitting construction. Successfully completed in May of 2006.  Scope included the design and installation of security network infrastructure, construction of a Security Operations Center, Eller Drive, McIntosh Road, Eisenhower Boulevard, Spangler Boulevard, SE 20th Street, SE 14th Avenue vehicular gates and electronics to manage access. Provided architectural design concepts, construction estimate, timelines and the phasing needed to complete a variety of projects.  Managed the design and construction of the Terminal 29 Expansion, Phases I and II, delivered and constructed in phases to allow for uninterrupted terminal use.

2000 to 2002, Project Manager III responsible for Terminal 21 Expansion, completed in February of 2001, Northport Cruise Garage and Ramps Expansion conceptual design and the Port Everglades Security Improvements project concept, a project that started in 1998.  Work load exceeded $40 million in planning, design and construction.  Continuously assisted the port and its tenants in obtaining and closing building permits for all projects through the Port’s municipal jurisdictions. SCUBA diver, member of Port Everglades underwater survey team.

4/13/1998 to 2000, Project Manager II responsible for a large portion of the vertical construction projects.  Major projects include the Midport Parking Garage Expansion and Operations Tower, completed in September of 2000, the Port Administration Building air conditioning replacement project, completed in 2001.  Projects were completed while users, patrons and tenants occupied the facilities, requiring multi-phased construction.  Managed various smaller projects, with budgets from $45,000 to $200,000 with time certain delivery dates.

Projects Manager responsible for project planning, probable project costs, bidding, construction and warranty periods for capital improvement construction projects.  Worked through City selected design consultants in the preparation of drawings and specifications.  Ensured project constructability and design compliance with the user's needs.  Conducted drawings and specification peer reviews.  Represented the Owner during the construction process. Completed the Sunrise Athletic and Civic Center project, a $14 million building and the renovations to the Public Safety Building, including a crime lab.

Project Manager responsible for project planning, initial and running budgets, selection of design consultants, review of design progress and design compliance with the Educational Specifications, building programs and building codes. Responsible for managing construction, closeout and warranty of projects in the third largest multi-Campus, urban Community College in the State of Florida.  Represented the Owner in matters affecting regulatory agencies such as the Florida Department of Education, State Fire Marshall's Office, County and Municipal authorities. Managed multiple projects simultaneously, including the  BCC/FAU Joint use Library at Central Campus in Davie, North Regional Library, North Campus, Coconut Creek, Health Science Center II, North Campus, Coconut Creek and Structural Renovations to the Omni, Building 60 at the North Campus, Coconut Creek.  These projects represented $35 million in construction.  Both the BCC/FAU Joint use Library and the Structural Renovations to the Omni were accomplished while the buildings were occupied.  Phased the construction, to allow safe occupancy while proceeding with construction.  Phases included asbestos abatement, demolition, renovation, occupancy of the renovated phase, multiple moves of furniture, fixtures, equipment and personnel, selection, specification, bid and installation of final furniture, fixtures and equipment and final connection of services and systems to the completed facilities.  Designed and managed multiple other projects totaling an additional $25 million.

Project Manager responsible for District wide projects, special projects, closeout of complex projects and work overflow in the northeast sector of Broward County.  Managed additions, renovations and remodeling to various elementary and middle school facilities while occupied.  Designed and managed a temporary campus of portable classrooms, including a temporary cafeteria, to be used as an interim school site while the permanent one was being completed.  Closed-out five (5) delayed and complex construction contracts.  Prepared work scopes and budgeted repairs and renovations to 13 district wide swimming pools.  Managed multiple projects concurrently.
