USC Discovery Scholar Distinction and Prize Finalist, Other
The Discovery Scholars Program honors students who excel in the classroom while demonstrating the ability to create exceptional new scholarship or artistic works. Like sailors on an unexplored sea, Discovery Scholars blaze new paths, rather than simply following the course charted by others.
USC Renaissance Scholar Distinction, Other
The Renaissance Scholars program honors students whose broad interests help them excel academically. Like Leonardo da Vinci, who was equally adept in the arts and the sciences, Renaissance Scholars are students whose majors and minors are from widely separated fields of study.
Ruth Reed Memorial Award, Scholarship
Dr. Elizabeth Annis established an endowed traveling scholarship in honor of her sister and USC alumna, Ruth Elaine Reed. The award is based on academic excellence and financial need.
Gamble House Scholar-in-Residence, Scholarship
The Friends of the Gamble House Scholars-in-Residence Fellowship is awarded to two students annually, providing residence in The Gamble House for the academic year and summer.
Stockwell Memorial Scholarship, Scholarship
This endowment from the estate of Winifred Stockwell honors her husband’s 20th century Los Angeles firm, Stanton & Stockwell, Architects. Funds are given to students based on merit and need as determined by a committee of the faculty.
Gensler/USC Guild Scholarship, 1st Place
Established in 2002, this endowment honoring architecture alumnus, Marvin Taff, FAIA (B.Arch. 1957), provides financial aid for deserving students in the undergraduate or graduate program. It is awarded annually to a student who best exemplifies the principles by which Marvin Taff practices architecture. Qualifying students exhibit integrity, collaboration, leadership, find opportunity in challenge, and define each design opportunity through the client’s point of view. Selection is made by a faculty committee appointed by the Dean.
Presidential Bronze Award for Community Service, Award
The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.
