About

Greg Maxwell is an architect with five years of experience in the architecture and preservation fields. He studied architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2015. While there, he studied in Barcelona, Rome, and Siena, and developed a great appreciation for the diversity of architecture and layers of history in cities. He practiced as an architect in training in New Jersey; he worked on a variety of commercial and high-end residential projects.

In 2019, Mr. Maxwell began attending the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design and he completed his Master of Science in Historic Preservation degree with honors in 2021. His concentration during his time at Penn was preservation design and he supplemented his academic work as a Research Fellow at the Center for Architectural Conservation. There, he gained experience working at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin and at several National Park Service sites including Fort Union National Monument, Pecos National Historical Park, Tuzigoot National Monument, and Catoctin Mountain Park. He presented some of his graduate research at the annual conference for the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) in May 2022. He was named a John G. Thorpe Fellow in 2022 by the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy.

Mr. Maxwell is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and he holds his National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate. He is a member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT), the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy and DOCOMOMO.
