Summer 2014 Ronald Lu & Partners Hong Kong
Operating with over 500 employees RLP has produced a wide range of projects in the Pearl River Delta region, including Hong Kong’s first Zero Carbon Footprint building and a very special collaboration with Frank Gehry for the Opus Hong Kong residential towers. Over the course of the summer I followed and helped the design team in charge of the Xiqu Center in Hong Kong’s up and coming West Kowloon Cultural District.

Voith & Mactavish Architects is a Philadelphia-based studio specializing in collegiate architecture. My work there as an intern consisted mainly in re-designing their digital collection of college campus site plans.

WANG is a very successful interior design studio based in Hong Kong which won the Interior Design “Best of Year” Award in 2011. My work during the summer included designing the roof deck for a penthouse in Shanghai, China.

The studio works on different scales, from housing projects and urban planning to interior architecture. I worked on models for the majority of my internship. One model in particular can be found in my portfolio: the corner row house of a three-house block in Corsier, Geneva.
Summer 2012 Townhouse Gallery Cairo, Egypt
Townhouse Gallery is an exhibition center and art school in central Cairo, Egypt. The Gallery focused on educating the Egyptian public on Middle Eastern art. It developed modules for art students in Cairo and introduced international collaboration between local and European artists.
Summer 2010 Based Upon London, England
Interior decoration specialized in furniture. They specialize in a substance called liquid metal that they apply onto bespoke furniture. I spent most of the time in the workshop.
Summer 2009 Study Abroad Legodimo, Botswana
Legodimo is a reserve in Botswana, Africa. The camp is focused on protecting the surrounding eco-system. Work in the camp can range from building a new toolshed to chasing poachers out of the reserve.
