Graduated since 2014 from the school of architecture of Nancy, I ended my studies with a thesis about new contemporary architecture. This work helped me to define what would be a good architecture in my opinion, in the XXIst century’s context, in which postmodern architecture reaches its limits, along with a systemic and environmental crisis needing new solutions. Contemporary architects are able to (re)create identities though architecture, but they have to face universal issues of adaptation to the needs of people, constraints of the site and technical solutions. For every singular project, the answer is built specifically, locally. Here's my idea of sustainability
I developped this philosophy after 5 years of an eclectic academic career, including 4 years in Nancy, one at the Faculty of Architecture of Porto (FAUP), and several trips (Germany, Austria, Belgium,Spain, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Netherlands,Switzerland and recently China and Viet-Nam). The last of them: a 6 months residency in China, a must-go destination for contemporary architecture. I worked in Beijing, at Standardarchitecture, one of the leaders of the recent alternative chinese scene.
This formative experience is completed by one year of interships, first in a medium-sized team at WW+in Luxembourg, then at Jean-Frederic Luscher’s office, former associate of Herzog & De Meuron, and member of the "Ordos 100" project.
