"Knowingly, carefully, and, best of all, Irreverently."
Hello, My name is Em Gan. I am a junior year student from The Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. Nearing completion of my third year of study, I believe I now possess a solid foundation for architectural design and strong communication skills.
I will be graduating in May, 2016. Through my course work, I have developed different computer skills on Revit, Auto CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. In addition to attaining proficiency with design software, I have also developed an observing and creative mind. I have designed a diverse set of projects, which range from duplex residential houses to public art museums. The projects that I designed were frequently selected to be placed in the student archives. There was once a major-wide concrete masonry competition for a brewery project in a traditional German area of Cincinnati. Unlike many students who just built concrete blocks with industry appearance, I thought more about how to use concrete as a media to show the culture environment about the site. For the final model, I designed something that has traditional German housing features combined with the use of concrete block construction. Due to my innovation and thorough planning, I won second place in the competition.
I have a creative mind, professional computer skills and a modest attitude to continue learning and listening. Attached is my resume and portfolio. Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone at 614-370-4043, or by email at gan.64@osu.edu. Meanwhile, thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
