About

Katarina Kushin is currently working as a junior concept artist with the Lucasfilm Art Department. Her latest contributions include set and prop design on Ahsoka, The Mandalorian (Season 3), and Disney’s Pinocchio. Her connection with the Star Wars creative team started in 2018 when she started as an art assistant on the first season of The Mandalorian. She then continued on to The Mandalorian (Season 2), Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Book of Boba Fett. Previously, she also worked as an art assistant with other major studios like Marvel (Captain Marvel) & Warner Brothers (Birds of Prey). Over the past several years, Katarina developed on-the-job art department knowledge and utilized her architecture background to transition into designing for film & television. Drawn to storytelling all her life, she continues to develop her digital and analog skills to become a more resourceful artist.

Katarina is based in San Diego where she enjoys reading, making matcha, staying active, and listening to Hans Zimmer’s Dune soundtrack on repeat. Her favorite leisure is traveling with her husband and seeking design inspiration from all around the world.
