As a current student majoring Interior Design at Pratt Institute in New York, I am seeking for the professional experience as an intern or entry level designer from Summer 2015.
My specialty is fully understanding the project throughout Client, Site, Environment, Precedent and One's style. My goal as interior designer is being a person who understands the history and belief of the client and providing a proper space.
My pleasure comes from the satisfaction of the client and the public who experiences my space. I believe practicality, simplicity, creativity and environment friendly is the most important aspects the designers should always consider. All of the new things come from inspiration and understanding the world. To full fill the goal, digesting the holistic precedent and future designs and creating its own design has to be habituated and my discipline and enjoyment of getting knowledge will fully support my objective.
A summary of actual values I have includes:
-Asian and Scandinavian taste of style and technique from the study experience in Korea and Denmark. The holistic vision to the project from the international dwelling experience.
-Strong ability of visualization of the project or competition by using various programs and hand skills. Practical and proper use of techniques such as schematize, page layout, render, drawing and building physical model.
-Versatile sense throughout simplicity to complexity and detail to spaciousness. Sense of color, material, lighting, furniture selection by visual journeys and precedent analysis up to date.
-Ability of managing time. Through the experience in Pratt, projects by various periods from short term to long term, it is able to manage the time efficiently by planning the proper schedule.
Especially, my constant attention into the sustainable design and ‘green’ method use based on the consideration of the environment will broaden and add depth vision to the future field of interior design and will make people to step further.
