About

Three attributes define who I am as a professional in Architecture and Design that make me an ideal candidate for your team: creativity, practicality and an unwavering commitment to design integrity and project excellence. I’m also a trusted and collaborative leader with wide-ranging knowledge of every aspect of architecture. I like to say that I’m an artist firmly grounded in reality – I create superior design solutions that are efficient and enhance the lives of my clients. Here are some key highlights from my story:

I’ve been passionate about architecture and drawing since I was very young. When my parents hired an architect to renovate our home in Bogota, Colombia, I spent all my free time observing and absorbing his craft. Not long after the encounter, I created drawings and plans to redo my room. Ever since then, I’ve been determined to get the education and credentials to design and build around the world. I went to the prestigious School of Architecture and Design at Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and received a professional degree in Architecture. My talent was swiftly recognized and I had the opportunity to work beside several top architects in Colombia, both in school and on the job.

After leaving the University, I spent a year as an architectural designer at a prominent firm, responsible for project drawings and schematics through construction documents. And to deepen my understanding of the construction aspects of architecture from the ground up, I worked as the on-site architect for a building firm.

In 2005, I moved to New York to study at the Pratt Institute. After receiving my Master of Architecture, I was recruited and worked for several architecture firms, both large and small, swiftly moving from intern and project architect/manager to senior project architect/lead designer. During the past 16 years I’ve won new business and built strong relationships with clients such as GE, Ferrari, Victoria’s Secret and CNBC. Currently, I am a senior architect at M Moser Associates in New York, focused on leading and designing workplace and high-end retail environments for embassies, legal firms and financial institutions. I’ve also been instrumental in moving the global firm’s practice in the United States to a “Design-Build” approach in collaboration with the company’s leaders in Hong Kong.

Architecture is not a solo act. I’ve had the good fortune to work with and lead very talented teams of people. I’m a strong and clear communicator, fluent in both English and Spanish, and able to translate complex information and documentation into compelling stories for clients that both inspire them and effectively manage their expectations. And my deep understanding of how the details create the “Big Picture” in Architecture enables me to successfully deliver what I promised on time and within budget.
