Suitsupply, New York, NY, US, Store Design and Development

I am responsible for new store buildouts in North America from pre-design, through opening. This includes reviewing the lease with in-house legal counsel; establishing and tracking budgets and schedules; managing the design phase with the local architect of record; red-lining construction documents; ordering fixtures, furnishings and millwork; bidding, negotiating and hiring contractors and consultants; managing construction on-site; and coordinating an on-time opening with internal departments. Additionally, I work to build relationships with vendors and established a maintenance manual to provide store managers at handover to better help them maintain the space. To date, I’ve handled the openings for two retail stores - Soho and Toronto - and recently opened the brand’s first shop-in-shop at Stanley Korshak in Dallas.

At DVF, I handled the concept development, evolution, implementation and global rollout of DVF retail stores. I took the project from a list of capacity requirerments through sketching, renderings, SD, DD, construction, opening and store maintenance. My responsibilities included the bidding and hiring of local architects, contractors, millowrkers and additional consultants as needed. I acted as the point person for all consultants and executed the brand identity on time and on budget. In addition to managing projects, I standardized the construction details, millwork and fixture drawings, lighting program and established a material vendor list.

Additionally, I worked with a lighting designer to formulate standard lighting guidelines for the luxury auto company. Over the course of two years, I oversaw the roll-out of more than 20 dealerships nation wide.
