Zunren is from Shanghai, one of the most international cities in the world and has completed a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Suzhou, one of the oldest historical cities in China. Embraced by these multiple cultures, deep passion for his profession made him move to Los Angeles, where he earned Master of Architecture degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). Working with various digital tools at SCI-Arc fascinated him in understanding architecture through acquisition of contemporary software and techniques which can make him professional exposure an extension of his academic education and research. His works have been chosen for SCI-Arc Spring shows several times.
Began career in DRDS, a design oriented practice working on large scale projects internationally, Zunren has played a design role that places him within close contact with the lead design principles and clients through whole project.
Zunren’s project experience included many of the firm’s most high profile projects, including Santa Monica Gateway, the competition winning Sands Lake 125 meters tower in Hangzhou, China as well as Qatat Ambulatory Care in Doha, Qatar.
