Columbus Partnership, Columbus, OH, US, Smart Columbus Fellow

In June 2016, Columbus was awarded the USDOT Smart Cities Challenge grant of $40 million to become a test bed for new mobility technologies and solutions, in addition to a $10 million grant from Vulcan Inc., a Paul G. Allen Philanthropy, to increase electric vehicle adoption. The Columbus Partnership, a sub-recipient of the Vulcan grant, created a position within their annual fellowship program for the Smart Columbus team. I reported to the Director of Smart Cities for the Columbus Partnership.

Responsibilities included:
• Coordinated 9 autonomous technology vendors and 40 key stakeholders for 2 days of meetings, ultimately resulting in ODOT's RFP #505-19 for an autonomous shuttle on Columbus' Scioto Mile
• Performing research to equip leadership team with information relevant to speaking engagements and strategy meetings
• Act as the go-to for graphic design and marketing production, including formatting reports, drafting copy, producing digital graphics and creating partner resources
• Keeping a pulse on local, national, and global events related to smart cities initiatives
• Maintains and grows social media presence for Smart Columbus, including over 7,000+ weekly impressions on Twitter

IMI/OSU Design Competition, 3rd Place

The Construction I course at Ohio State culminates in the International Masonry Institute Design Competition. The course is a combined 3rd year undergraduate and first year graduate student course, comprising around 100 students. First through fourth place are awarded to individuals whose final project show exceptional design and use of brick.
