I am a Designer at Morris Adjmi Architects. Upon my gradation from the University of Florida, I relocated to New York City because of the abundance of opportunities for a fulfilling career. I am part of an ethnic minority, and can speak multiple languages; which facilitates communication with the global architecture community. The experiences and intercultural relationships that I acquired while studying abroad in Brazil, Mexico, and Europe have greatly expanded my understanding of other cultures and their architectural values. The ability to adapt to new environments and to interact with people of different backgrounds has enriched the way I practice architecture.
Meticulous planning and attention to detail are invaluable qualities of a successful designer, which I intend to exemplify with my future career in architecture. My academic journey has allowed me to achieve what my parents could only dream of; giving me the chance to advance beyond a basic education while securing my financial independence. When my parents immigrated to America they gained the freedom to choose how they wanted to live, and their success in making their own opportunities has motivated me to pursue an advanced degree. As the oldest child in my family, and the first to achieve a college education, I refuse to settle for attaining the status society expects of me. I seek the realization of my lifelong dream of becoming an architect.
