For my senior thesis I studied Isamu Noguchi's playground designs within the context of the Playground Movement and the development of urban planning in the 20th century. I considered Noguchi's architecture of these educational leisure space in relation to John Dewey's philosophy of education and the politicization of design as a dissemination of nationalistic ideology.
