During my apprenticeship I needed to combine my studies with work, family, and other commitments showing I am organised, self motivated and capable of working under pressure. I have a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion.

Climate change and economic drivers mean there is a strong move toward renewable energy resources – and an increased demand for power system engineers with the relevant skills.
The switch to renewable energy from wind, wave and tidal sources will require substantial transmission and distribution infrastructure development. We are studying to get a strong grounding in sustainable energy production so will be ideally placed to capitalise on this significant growth.
University of the West of Scotland, Paisley, GB, Bachelors, Sports Development
Upon completion of my Final years at High school I had no clear vision of what my future held. With this in mind I decided to go and study something that I enjoyed which was to be sports. I really enjoyed my course and took a great deal from it that I am able to use in my current position, for example Leadership and Management Skills.
I also volunteer at a local running club as a coach which again utilises aspects from my Degree.
