I am a Master of Architecture candidate from University of Illinois at Chicago, currently taking the last academic year of the study, and seeking opportunities to build my professional career gradually from an architectural intern.
Over the past seven years I have studied in architecture in China and the U.S, where I have learned diversity of design process, technique, and culture. During the study in China, I have worked on a variety of residential and retail mixed-use projects in the education, and residential quarters, as an architectural student intern.
I have enjoyed the architecture on creation, development potential, and a being special role like a transverter - that needs me to read an object in a deep, detailed, and analytical, then design and combine all the micro-level elements into the macro-level system. Lots of times, it is a back-forth work.
I believe that architectural design is a kind of process that full of transmission, transformation and progression of diversities of information – from an oral idea to a conceptual sketching, from crafting to detailed drawing, from graphic to specific construction. All of these require technique skills, professional knowledge, accurate attention, flexible thinking, efficient communication, a positive cooperation and a humbled attitude in teamwork.
