Roderick Cruz is an interdisciplinary designer and photographer based in New York City. His work has been previously displayed at the 2019 Hong Kong Urbanism\Architecture Biennale, the Beneson Center at Art Omi, and the Pratt Institute School of Architecture.
Cruz’s present topics of research include the analysis of former Olympic venues and related infrastructure in host cities in their post-Olympic condition; the design of adaptable disaster recovery housing and related infrastructure; and the documentation of wear in the built environment.
Cruz is a registered architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and has been certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture.
