Hello sir/madam,
My name is Jose Robinson, I am a graduate of New York City College of Technology-CUNY with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture Technology. I recently completed the Intern Development Program (IDP) with NCARB and in the process of studying for my first licensing exams.
I have professional experience working in various architectural capacities. In my most recent position as Project Manager for a small multi-façaded architecture firm, I am responsible for creating Construction Documents for Building Department submission for all types of jobs including Alteration Type-1, Alteration Type-2, new buildings, additions and interior renovations. As well as preparing documents and applications with other agencies for project approval, such as RP-602s with the Department Of Finance, SD-1 & 2s with the Department Of Environmental Protection, Tree Planting Submissions with the Parks Department and presentations for variances with the Board Of Standards And Appeals. Other responsibilities include performing site surveys, interfacing with clients and contractors and maintaining meticulous records of all project data. I am well-versed in all aspects of both residential and commercial construction.
As a CAD Drafter/Design Assistant for an interior design firm, I excelled at creating custom millwork details and shop drawings for residential and hospitality interiors. Other tasks included researching, specifying and scheduling all FFE for construction documents and product procurement, as well as maintaining digital media sites for internet marketing.
As a Jr. Architect/Graphic Designer for a small realty firm, I was responsible for conducting all on-site surveys, drafting property listings and created print advertisements for the spaces, developing an architectural database for data efficiency and managing a small team of personnel.
I also produced business cards, logos/web graphics and HTML script code for creating online realty listings. Some of my other experience include: freelance drafting/design, architectural photography.
