I am a Colombian architect with a five-year B.Arch. degree from Los Andes University in Bogota, Colombia, and a Master of Science in Architecture degree at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. From my years as a B. Arch student I gained the basic skills to successfully derive the design of projects in an architectural-scale, as wells as in an urban scale, with a more traditional perspective. Whereas in my M.S. Arch years I learned a more digital driven approach to the discipline, that matches the technological revolution of this century.
In a more professional way, I have had the experience to work in several architecture firms where I have developed my skills in design and construction processes. I worked hand by hand with the head architects of some of this firms. With one of them who was also my thesis professor on my B. Arch program, we developed an architecture contest for the Department of Biology at Los Andes University. In the field of construction I have had the opportunity to be in the development of projects as the building manager in some cases and as the work inspector in some others.
Some of my skills that I find could be useful for your team are; in respect to software, I have created CAD drawings, 3D modeling, rendering, and Augmented Reality models as a highly developed presentation skill; I am also capable of developing design concepts and schematic designs, as well as the responsible management of budget.
