I am a Product Design student in my junior year at Parsons the New School for Design.
Since internship is one of the requriement to graduate from the school, I have been
earnestly looking for one, and I finally become interested in interning at your company
in this summer.
I have a good understanding of how to make a working model since I previously studied
mechanical engineering. Therefore, I am capable of making mock-ups, scaled models,
and prototypes out of metals, woods and resins. Furthermore, I am familiar with a
wide range of software programs such as: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Photoshop,
Illustrator, InDeisgn, Powerpoint, and lastly, Final Cut Pro. With regards to
my previous work experience, I participated in the KANA art exhibition, which took place
in New York City in 2012. Also, as an intern for the Gerard Studio, I collaborated in
the making of props for one of Broadway musicals. Most recently however, last summer,
I interned for a Korean artisan who creates traditional wooden joineries; this gentleman
is officially certified by the Korean government.
