Javier Moñivas is a young architect and engineer with experience in all the different scales of architecture and construction, from urban planning down to construction details.
He studied construction engineering in his hometown Madrid and followed on with a scholarship to finish his studies in Denmark (E.U.) at the Horsens Teknisk Skole. During all this time he combined his academic career with professional experience as a site manager in housing projects.
After finishing his first degree he moved on to study architecture in Barcelona at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya. Again he mixed studying with work at GRND82 architecture studio. Being part of this office he won several competitions multi residential and public buildings. He finished his degree at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid where he collaborated in the Research Group in Architecture, Urbanism and Sustainability of this University, work that included a collaboration with the UN-Habitat organization, during three years publishing several works. Javier has also taught courses on sustainability in new construction and rehabilitation projects.
Over the past three years he has developed his career in Panama. First he was doing consulting work for the Embassy of Spain in this country and collaborations for EnSitu until undertook long with ELPATIO architects, an architectural firm characterized by its high standard.

I decided to take the step of creating an independent firm with the aim to translate our vision of architecture as a tool to achieve a good design to everyday life .

I searched in the Archive of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the General Archive of the Administration in
order to document the history and construction of the "Palace of Spain," current headquarters of the Embassy of Spain in Panama.
Once I compiled this information, I worked for two weeks in Panama developing documentation for the renovation of the embassy.
