The project will provide a new facility alongside the existing Grade II* St George’s Church that will enable the St George’s Bristol concert hall to better fulfil its charitable objectives and become financially sustainable for the foreseeable future.

The new extension is conceived as a landscape building; a remodelling of the churchyard that uses the sloping topography of the site, and the historic terracing as key drivers for the design proposals.

As part of this project, areas of the existing church building will also be refurbished.

A series of new gardens and terraces located adjacent to the existing church begin to create an array of internal and external spaces, providing improved access and connectivity to the facilities of the existing venue.
