Open aviary with train-viewing balcony. Uses and subverts the idea of bird-discouragement spikes: vertical spikes discourage nesting and perching, horizontal spikes encourage perching, and clustered spikes encourage nesting. Visitors can observe birds without having to walk beneath them.
