Manhattan, opposite side of Hunters Point South, has beautiful skylines by vertical high rise buildings as well as interesting waterfront conditions ; piers and board walk. Design intention is to create new skyline and new waterfront edge by talking a strutrue of giant water lily. The stragy of this project is to take water into the site so that pier condition could be emphasized more. By bringing lager scale of pier, which becomes roof garden, into the existing site, it gives a chance to connect physically and visually from inland side to waerfront site through the roof garden pier. New five high rise residential buildings create new skylines of Hunters Point South and gradually merge with old skyline and become inhabitable piers with structure which expands wider and less dense.
