I am a senior architect and I’ve been active in the profession since 1986.  My first three years were spent in New Haven where I designed multi-family residential and small commercial projects.  In 1989, I moved to New York City where I have worked on high rise residential projects, schools, hotels, and large commercial and institutional projects.  I usually organize production teams and resolve technical issues, but when the occasion demands, also take care of design issues.

For the last fifteen years I have typically been the senior technical architect on projects that have ranged from small renovations to complex high-rise buildings.  This variety has given me insights into a variety of design situations and allows me to adapt quickly to new ones.  For a number of years, I have had a technical consulting business that provides assistance to architects—usually through details, coordination, and advice.  For a few years I had a computer rendering business, and I’ve used those skills to create 3d design studies as well as finished renderings. 

I received my Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture in 1986.  Two of my projects there were nominated for the award for Best Project of the Year and were shown at the 1985 and 1986 A.I.A. conventions.  A drawing of one of these projects hung in the Associate Dean's office until his retirement.
