To Whom It May Concern,

I have recently completed my Masters in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities and am looking for work as Junior Architect. I am a hard-working, passionate and ambitious architectural thinker and maker who enjoys above all expressing my concepts through active making and drawing. Within architecture, I am most interested in cultural, institutional and governmental type programs because they are the stage upon which an architect may be most radical in changing perceptions of space and form.

Although I truly consider myself an architect at heart I am passionate also of languages, graphic design, landscape architecture and typography. I am fluent in Spanish (my mother tongue) and English, I have advanced oral, reading and writing skills in Chinese (having tested HSK 6, the highest level of the standardized exam) and an intermediate level in Italian. The latter two were learnt through my participation in multiple academic exchanges in China, amongst them the prestigious Fulbright-Hays program, and in Italy through the European Honors Program in Rome.
Among my representational aptitudes, I consider myself a very strong conceptual thinker and fluid in hand sketching but also have intermediate experience with Grasshopper and computational design. Most recently, as part of my Masters degree, I was involved in the construction of a mass timber building which I brought to fruition, as a part of a team, from raw wood harvested from a nearby forest to CLT and wooden components.

I consider myself a capable leader who incorporates everybody within a given team to the conversation and is able to synthesize several ideas into a cohesive whole while making tough decisions. This being said I am also very comfortable being led and contributing to a conversation that way. I have ample experience working in groups, something quintessential to some of my portfolio pieces and in my previous working experience.

My internship experiences have always rigorously incorporated team work. While working at People's Architecture Office (众建筑) I collaborated across fields, programs and languages (Chinese and English) which in my humble opinion is the most evident proof of collaborative work.

To conclude, I believe I am an excellent individual worker but also a great team worker and team builder. These aptitudes paired with my willingness to get the best results and incorporate everyone's best design decisions make me great component to any architectural studio.
