My intention during the last years working and studying in Madrid and in New York has been attempting to achieve the silent elegance of what is essential and a subordination of the profession to the demands of human habitat. In addition, I have been identifying and examining remarkable examples of public and civic interventions in architecture in order to speculate on their possible uses. A wide range of practices has been included, representing diverse agendas, scales, locations, levels of realization, and accomplishments, and allowing me to develop a set of simple goals that aim to foster the public realm: street reactivation, density enhancement, and collective evolutionary interaction. These strategies based on simplicity and precision are implemented as an attempt to elaborate a rationale to support my individual aesthetic identity and to acquire a narrative and ethos that would qualify me to participate in the public debate, translating politics into livable spaces, volumes, and urban fabric.
