ORA Studio Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

Experiencing a rewarding career path can mean taking for granted the behind-the-scenes process that no one else sees but you and the people involved: the planning, drawing, project management, construction dust, or a freezing day on a jobsite visit, just to name a few.

ORA Studio is widely known as a petite boutique firm, with beautiful projects in its portfolio and happy clients and partners. Of course, this is what we strive for: presenting the results of all our hard work in a graceful way, showing ORA Studio’s streamlined creativity. But for me, Giusi Mastro, ORA Studio and all the collaborations developed since I started my career in Florence in 1996 have happened largely in the interstices, in the in-between times before each revision and thanks to all hours spent with collaborative professionals to brainstorm, get inspiration, decide details, materials and colors, and find solutions.

It was in January 2001 that I opened the doors of ORA Studio in Murray Hill, NYC and embarked on an exciting journey. ORA Studio was born with the desire to push the boundaries of Design and Architecture. We have come a long way, but I believe that ORA still carries the seed of that original idea in most of the things that we do and in how we create spaces for other people to live at their fullest. Our projects have always reflected a vital creative process and each project has been curated to tell its own distinctive story. ORA studio’s pillars of creativity married with pragmatism and client communication have sustained our leading place in the Architecture and Interior Design field. This profession is not for the faint of heart, it needs devotion and commitment. A successful project is a simply a happy client.

This year marks our 20th birthday, and this milestone is not a retrospective, but rather to gain a little perspective. Moving forward has always meant that ORA Studio remains relevant and at the forefront of what is NOW, which is also ORA Studio’s namesake.

On behalf of ORA Studio, I would like to thank everyone who has collaborated with us over the years and to all our clients for trusting us to turn their dreams into reality. Thank you to our loyal supporters and to the artists, artisans, contractors, and fabricators who create wonderful products that make our projects unique.

Although we are a year older, we feel younger than ever, and to celebrate our 20th anniversary we have a fresh new look. Please, take some time to check our refreshed website www.orastudionyc.com

We are looking forward to writing the next chapter with you!

Giusi Mastro,
