Open Atelier Architects founder Anthony Catsimatides, that's me, emphasizes creativity, innovation, and research on critical issues in building design with inventiveness, originality and vision. I place value on quality workplace design and its effects on an individual’s performance. Issues such as healthy material selection and high quality lighting are important factors in fostering creativity, productivity and resourcefulness.

I firmly believe that good design matters. I also believe that being good stewards of our planet is important. These philosophies lead me to explore all aspects of building technologies, from indoor air quality and natural ventilation to energy efficient lighting and building envelope strategies. This thoughtful, analytical, yet innovative design process is my key signature.

At the moment, I'm interested in Mass Timber Technology. Back in 2006 I was interested in Double Skin Glass Facades. Learning new technology applications and the latest in design theories is what keeps me interested in the field of Architecture.
