Nick joined the New York studio with the goal of designing projects that have cultural relevance and a strong environmental ethos; before WRNS, he worked as a Design Associate at ORE Design + Technology and founded the 2A_eM Design Cooperative Nick graduated Magna Cum Laude, with his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies with a minor in Sculpture at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. At Columbia University, he explored the processes of digital fabrication, working as the Exhibitions Assistant and as part of Team FY!’s Fy-Langes, a reconfigurable, digitally designed installation that was exhibited at the Figment Project New York Art Festival. As an advocate for the three pillars of sustainability: economic, environmental and social responsibility, his final studio project focused on designing a system of metro stations that leverage Mumbai’s muggy weather by triggering the dew point to capture, produce, and distribute filtered water to local communities. Nick has always been a tinkerer obsessed with materiality, and his connection to art informs how he designs space: uniquely, creatively and with a focus on the environment. Nick seeks to contribute to WRNS Studio’s growing east coast presence, evolve his architectural fluency and develop sustainable designs that employ a strong sense of craftsmanship, atmosphere and materiality.
