MORRISTOWN: The New Jerseychapter of the American Institute of Architects today announced that Morristown-based architect Ben Lee, will serve as the organization’s 2014 treasurer. The Wayne resident was installed during AIA-NJ’s annual awards gala, which was held on Jan. 11 at Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury.
Managing principal and chief financial officer of Morristown-based NK Architects, a regional architectural, structural engineering, planning and interior design firm, Lee has more than 35 years of experience in architecture. A board-certified healthcare architect, Lee manages NK’s Healthcare Design Group and has expertise in healthcare strategic planning, operational assessment and master facility planning.
Lee was the 2011 president for Architects League of Northern New Jersey, one of AIA-NJ’s six local sections.
In addition to AIA-NJ, Lee’s professional affiliations include the American Society of Hospital Engineers, the American Hospital Association, the Healthcare Facilities Management Society of New Jersey, the New Jersey Society of Architects and the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association.
Lee is an alumnus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La., and the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark.
