This award is a recognition of exemplary research and scholarship on a written topic from a 5th Year student. The research paper was titled “Latent Design,” and contrasted the relationship of the Architect as Artist to the Architect as Craftsman.
Jerde Travel Research Fellowship, 1st Place
Travel Fellowship awarded to a student who proposes a compelling outline for an independent research project. My proposal centered around studying floating foundations in the Netherlands, and included interviews with firms such as Waterstudio NL about the feasibility of combating global warming by building structures on water.
