Nick is a fifth-year student at Iowa State University pursuing a Bachelor's in Architecture supplemented with minors in sustainability and entrepreneurial studies.
Growing up sharing my time between Iowa and New York, the contrast between the Midwest natural landscape and lively urban cityscape fostered a deep curiosity for the constant negotiations between us, nature, and the built environment. Experiencing how local contexts shape design decisions, I have developed a passion for examining the dialogue between humans and the built and natural environments, particularly within the urban condition. Most of my education examines social and spatial dialogues between people, nature, and the built environment in various contexts. Coming from two Chinese immigrant parents, values of integrity, accountability, cooperation, and determination strengthen my ambition and passion for creative storytelling through mediums like architecture and design.
