The bunker is conceived in modular spaces surrounding a hydroponic garden, which acts like an underground greenhouse. This space solves one of the main challenges of the project, which is food production. The hydroponic solution increases efficiency and reduces maintenance. This system requires less water and space compared to soil-based techniques, and it avoids the use of pesticides. A total of 1,200 square feet of floor area is dedicated to crops, illuminated 24 hours a day with violet LEDs, the most effective for cultivation without exposure to the sun.
